Processor & Touchscreen
- To clean the PhotoCake® Processor Touchscreen, spray a clean cloth with glass cleaner. Never apply or spray liquids directly onto the processor.
Printer
- Cleaning the Printheads
- Load the test paper into the Printer and select Color Test from the PhotoCake® Processor.
- Cleaning the Ink Cartridges
- Do not touch the copper contact area or the inkjet plate.
- If contact is accidentally made, wipe them with a lint-free cloth moistened with water.
- Do not use alcohol, acetone, or any other cleansers because they can damage the Ink Cartridges.
- Cleaning the Ink Cartridge Jet Plate
- Press the Feed Forward and Feed Backward buttons on the Printer at the same to access the Ink Cartridge carrier.
- Open the Printer.
- Remove the Ink Cartridge by pulling the top of the cartridge toward you.
- Lightly press on the jets with a lint-free cloth moistened with water to wipe excess ink.
- Cleaning the Service Station
- Press the Feed Forward and Feed Backward buttons on the Printer at the same time to access the Ink Cartridge carrier.
- Open the lid of the Printer.
- Rinse the service station and wiper with warm water.
Scanner
- To keep the Scanner glass clean, wipe with a glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth. Never apply or spray liquids directly onto the Scanner.
Troubleshooting
Printer
Printer intermittently resets
- Make sure the cable connections are securely plugged in.
Printer will not print after changing the Ink Cartridges
- Be sure that the cartridge carrier is moved back into the service station by pressing the Feed Forward and Feed Backward buttons at the same time.
Images have streaks on them
- Clean the service station at least once a month.
- Inspect the bottom of the Ink Cartridges for dirt or dust.
- Make sure the Ink Cartridges are not overfilled.
