Care & Maintenance


  • Keep the Scanner glass clean by wiping it with a lint-free cloth, lightly moistened with glass cleaner.
  • Clean the outer surface by wiping it with a soft, clean, cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent diluted with water.
  • Never spray liquids directly on the Scanner.
  • Never store or place items on top of the Scanner.

Troubleshooting


Scanner is making a ‘clicking’ noise
  • Check that the Scanner is unlocked.
    • Locate the lock/unlock thumb switch located either on the back or the bottom of the Scanner.
    • Move the thumb switch to the unlock position.
  • The power light on the Scanner is not on
    • Check the Scanner connections.
      • Verify the Orange “C” labeled power cord on the back of the Scanner is connected correctly.
        • Confirm that the Orange “C” labeled power cord is connected to the Orange “C” port into the Scanner.
        • Confirm that the Orange “C” labeled power cord is connected to the black box.
        • Confirm that the cable going out of the box is connected into the Surge protected Power Strip.
      • Verify the Orange “4” labeled USB cable on the back of the Scanner is connected correctly.
        • Confirm that the Orange “4” labeled USB cable is connected to the Orange “4” labeled port on the back of the Scanner.
        • Confirm that the Orange “4” labeled USB cable is connected to the Orange labeled USB port in the back of the Controller.
    • Press the RESUME/CANCEL button. This is the gray button located on the right front of the Printer next to the alarm LED.
  • The scanned image is poorly displayed on the Touchscreen
    • Check the Scanner glass for dirt or scratches.
    • Inspect photo for bends or wrinkles. Poor quality photos will scan poorly.
    • Photos or images printed on regular copy paper from a computer will not scan well.

  • Check that the Scanner is unlocked.
    • Locate the lock/unlock thumb switch located either on the back or the bottom of the Scanner.
    • Move the thumb switch to the unlock position.
  • The scanned image is poorly displayed on the Touchscreen
    • Check the Scanner glass for dirt or scratches.
    • Inspect photo for bends or wrinkles. Poor quality photos will scan poorly.
    • Photos or images printed on regular copy paper from a computer will not scan well.
